Fire Born

Ruby’s parents, Josef (Peter Nikkos) and Zahra (Rita Khori), Greek immigrants, are living their American dream, owning their own restaurant in Los Angeles and about to have their first child. On the 4th of July, a failed robbery takes the life of pregnant Zahra, and before she dies the baby is saved. Ruby (Eliza Gerontakis) is born. 25 years later, Ruby is a rookie cop, and it’s her birthday. Memories of her mother’s death, the grief of her father, and her reasons for becoming a cop cloud her mind.
